Cold Dough Rolls

9 cups flour
3 eggs
1 1/2 teas salt
1/2 lb butter
5 cent yeast (2 oz)
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups sour cream
1/2 bottle vanilla

Irene's Cold Dough Cakes

4 1/2 cups flour
1 lb. loose lard
3 cent yeast (1 oz) (half-bakers)
1 1/2 teas. salt
1 small can milk (with more)
4 eggs

Put yeast with a little flour until it is throughly
mixed add salt and lard to remainder of flour
and mix like pie dough add whole eggs and mix
now lastly add milk and work dough until it
does not stick to the hands or side of pan. Place
in cold place over night. Roll on well sugared
board and fill with stewed apricots or ground nuts
